Dumpster Sizes

What dumpster sizes does Trash Box Disposal offer?

Trash Box Disposal offers 12-yard, 20-yard, and 30-yard roll-off dumpsters for residential, commercial, remodeling, roofing, cleanout, and construction projects. If you’re not sure which size is right for your project, give us a call and we’ll help you choose.

What can I put in a 12-yard dumpster?

A 12-yard dumpster is a good choice for household junk, garage and basement cleanouts, yard waste, small remodeling projects, roofing debris, and other smaller cleanup jobs. Certain materials are prohibited, so review our Banned Items page or contact us if you’re unsure about something.

How big is a 12-yard dumpster?

Our 12-yard dumpster is approximately 16 feet long, 8 feet wide, and 3 feet high. It holds about 5 pickup truck loads of material.

What projects are best for a 12-yard dumpster?

A 12-yard dumpster works well for garage, attic, and basement cleanouts, bathroom or kitchen remodels, yard cleanup, landscaping projects, roofing debris, and smaller construction jobs.

What can I put in a 20-yard dumpster?

A 20-yard dumpster can handle household junk, furniture, remodeling debris, roofing materials, yard waste, and construction debris. It’s a versatile option for projects that produce more waste than a smaller cleanup but don’t require our largest container.

How big is a 20-yard dumpster?

Our 20-yard dumpster is approximately 20 feet long, 8 feet wide, and 4 feet high. It holds about 10 pickup truck loads of material.

What projects are best for a 20-yard dumpster?

A 20-yard dumpster is a great fit for larger home cleanouts, remodeling projects, roofing tear-offs, basement cleanouts, flooring removal, landscaping projects, and medium-sized construction jobs.

What can I put in a 30-yard dumpster?

Our 30-yard dumpster is designed for larger amounts of household junk, remodeling debris, construction materials, furniture, and other approved waste. It’s ideal when you expect to generate a significant amount of debris.

How big is a 30-yard dumpster?

Our 30-yard dumpster is approximately 20 feet long, 8 feet wide, and 6 feet high. It holds about 15 pickup truck loads of material.

What projects are best for a 30-yard dumpster?

A 30-yard dumpster works well for whole-house cleanouts, major renovations, construction projects, large roofing jobs, estate cleanouts, commercial projects, and other jobs that generate a large amount of debris.

How do I know which dumpster size I need?

Think about both the type and amount of material you’ll be disposing of. Smaller cleanouts and remodeling jobs often fit well in a 12-yard dumpster, while larger renovations and construction projects may need a 20- or 30-yard container. If you’re between sizes, call us. We’d rather help you choose correctly than have you run out of room halfway through your project.

Pricing & rental Terms

How much does a dumpster rental cost?

Pricing depends on the dumpster size, your location, the type of material being disposed of, and any additional rental time or weight charges. Contact Trash Box Disposal for a free, no-obligation quote based on your project.

Are there any hidden fees?

We believe in straightforward pricing. Your quote will explain what is included with your rental and any charges that could apply, such as additional rental days, excess weight, prohibited materials, or an unsuccessful pickup.

How long can I keep the dumpster?

Your standard rental includes up to 14 days. If you need the dumpster longer, additional rental time is available for $20 per day after the 14th day.

What happens if my dumpster is too heavy?

Each dumpster has a weight limit. If your load exceeds the included tonnage, an additional charge of $80 per ton will apply.

What happens if the dumpster cannot be picked up?

The dumpster must be accessible and safely loaded when we arrive for pickup. If it is blocked by a vehicle, snow, equipment, building materials, or other obstacles, or if it is overloaded above the fill line, we may be unable to remove it. A $100 trip fee applies if we have to return for pickup.

What if I fill my dumpster before my project is finished?

Give us a call and we can arrange a swap. We’ll remove the full dumpster and bring another container so you can keep working. Each additional dumpster is charged separately and begins a new 14-day rental period.

Delivery & Pickup

How do I prepare for dumpster delivery?

Clear the area where you want the dumpster placed and make sure our truck has enough room to safely access it. Move vehicles, equipment, building materials, and other obstacles before delivery.

Where should the dumpster be placed?

Choose a flat, firm, stable surface such as a driveway or designated construction area. Avoid placing the dumpster over septic systems, irrigation lines, soft ground, or other underground utilities.

Can you put a dumpster on my driveway?

Yes. Driveways are a common placement location. We can place boards beneath the rollers upon request to help minimize potential damage, but property owners are responsible for choosing a suitable placement area.

How much space do you need to deliver a dumpster?

Our roll-off truck needs clear access to the placement area and enough room to safely load and unload the container. If you’re concerned about a narrow driveway, overhead wires, trees, or another obstruction, contact us before delivery and we’ll help determine whether the location will work.

Do I need to be home when the dumpster is delivered?

Not necessarily. As long as we have clear placement instructions, the area is accessible, and any necessary arrangements have been made beforehand, we may be able to deliver without you being there.

Do you offer same-day dumpster delivery?

Same-day delivery may be available depending on container availability, your location, and the time of your request. Call or request a quote as early as possible and we’ll let you know the soonest available delivery time.

How do I schedule my dumpster pickup?

Contact Trash Box Disposal when you’re finished with the dumpster and ready for pickup. Make sure the container is accessible, the load is below the fill line, and nothing is blocking our truck from reaching it.

Loading Your Dumpster

How full can I fill the dumpster?

All materials must remain inside the walls of the dumpster and below the fill line. Do not pile material over the top or allow items to stick out of the container. Overfilled dumpsters may not be safe to transport and can delay your pickup.

Should I spread the material evenly throughout the dumpster?

Yes. Distributing material evenly helps keep the dumpster safe to transport and prevents too much weight from being concentrated in one area.

Can I put dirt, concrete, sand, or gravel in the dumpster?

Do not place heavy materials such as dirt, concrete, sand, or gravel in your dumpster unless Trash Box Disposal has approved them for your specific rental. These materials can quickly exceed the container’s weight limit.

Can I put roofing shingles in the dumpster?

Roofing shingles may be accepted, but disposal must meet landfill requirements. Shingle jobs are evaluated on a case-by-case basis to ensure proper handling. Contact us before loading shingles into your dumpster. Unauthorized disposal may result in additional fees.

Banned & Restricted Items

What items are not allowed in Trash Box dumpsters?

Prohibited or restricted materials include aerosol cans, animal waste or carcasses, antifreeze, appliances, asbestos, barrels or drums, batteries, chemicals, computers and electronics, fluorescent lights and fixtures, gasoline, hazardous waste, liquids, medical waste, oils, paint, paint chips, pesticides and herbicides, propane tanks, radioactive materials, railroad ties, solvents, telephone poles, televisions, tires, and wheel rims. Some materials may have special disposal requirements, so contact us if you’re unsure.

Can I put paint or chemicals in the dumpster?

No. Paint, chemicals, solvents, oils, gasoline, pesticides, and other hazardous liquids are not permitted in our dumpsters.

Can I throw away TVs, computers, or electronics?

No. Televisions, computers, and other electronics require separate disposal and should not be placed in your Trash Box dumpster.

Can I put tires in the dumpster?

No. Tires and wheel rims are not accepted in our dumpsters and must be disposed of separately.

What should I do if I’m not sure whether an item is allowed?

Call us before loading it. It’s much easier to confirm an item ahead of time than to remove it later or risk additional disposal fees.
